Water Boarding & Torture
Sean Hannity came out a number of weeks ago and said that he would undergo Water Boarding to help raise funds for Military Charities. Apparently, he had backtracked from it. Keith Olbermann has been after him on his show ever since then reminding his audience. It is hillarious!!!
Sean does good work supporting military families. His concert series was a great event and apparently a great success. I just wish that he and his friends on the conservative talk circuit will embrace and appreciate those who disagree with them. But, they have a right to be heard and that right should be respected no matter what the disagreements may be. This includes the question of torture and whether America should stand for it.
I have been continuing to periodically read on others and their views on Water Boarding as well. Jesse Ventura came out of his "exile" in Mexico to talk to Larry King on CNN a week or so ago. He noted that Water Boarding is torture and has recently come out to Water Board Mr. Cheney. What is distrubing about Waterboarding, though, is the broader question of what the Bush Adminstration did and whether it is acceptable or not. America has to walk the talk. Anything else is simply undermining its' crediblity around the world.
