W: From Frat Boy to President

Josh Brolin
Josh Portrays George W. Bush

I have posted the movie trailer "W" to my blog. You can watch it right here. The new “W” trailer has been making its rounds on the internet since early this week. “W” a movie by world renowned film maker Oliver Stone depicts George W. Bush’s transition from a partying frat boy to President of the United States. I am definitely interested in seeing this movie. One has to wonder how anyone could go from one extreme to another with those days of partying being manipulated and dissected by the American press. In the movie “W” you will also see depictions of Karl Rove, Condoleezza Rice and Dick Cheney (Dick Cheney is played by Richard Dreyfuss).

This movie is scheduled to premiere in October right before our Presidential elections. Conservatives are already arguing that this is slanted to make George W. Bush look as if he is incompetent and was handed the Presidency. I wonder if we really needed this move to gain that perception. George Bush has done a pretty good job of making enough costly blunders giving the world that impression. Oliver Stone is a superb film maker and it will be interesting to see his perspective on how George W. Bush went from party boy to President. I am also interesting in seeing America’s response to the movie and if it will affect our voting to come within the following week. I have included a clip from the Trailer “W” so you can see for yourself.

I'll be the first to say that I am no fan of George W. Bush. I won't even get into why, it would take too long. However, as much as I'm looking forward to a movie that delves into the dark corners of George W. that the American public aren't privy to, I do think there's something to be said for timing.

Just as how you wouldn't make a movie about something tragic immediately after that event occurred; I feel theres something wrong with making a movie about a president who has yet to leave office. (Although the majority us would agree that George W.'s presidency was pretty tragic)

I don't know. Maybe the movie will be unbiased and a great piece of film making. No one can be sure. There is one thing that is for sure though, it sure is gonna stir up a commotion.

Edward 4. Oh he's still in office? LOL I am sort of serious in a way though. You notice how the press will ask John McCain and Barack Obama questions as if George Bush has no authority to make decisions between now and January
