Am I Too Hard on George W. Bush?
I need your help folks. I am moving toward a path of enlightenment. A path of forgiveness. Yesterday looked through the posts in my blog and I realized something. I have really put the smack down on George Bush and his cronies. With unemployment at an all time high, mortgage companies taking advantage of the American dream of homeownership, Katrina, gas prices…I could go on and on, it is so easy to point the finger a our country’s leader. So instead, I am blaming Americans. Yes, that means you. That means me. Oh sure I have written a letter or two to the Bush administration and my state Senator. I have posted my feelings to my blog along with all of you, but what has that accomplished?
We, the American people have become complacent and apathetic. We sit here and stand idly by while a group of people who some of us elect (many of us don’t vote), decide what is best for us. I can be upset that the Republicans stole the election in 2000. I should be more upset that the American people allowed a good man to be cheated out of the Presidency. I should be more upset that we as a people did not go out to the polls so that it was not close enough to steal. Yes, I am redirecting my anger folks. I would personally like to know what has to happen in our country for the people to take a political stand. Therefore, America I am mad at you. Get off your duff and from behind your keyboard and March on Washington. Let your voice be heard to people who can do something about it.
