The "New' Newsweek
This weekend saw the relaunch of the new "Newsweek". I picked up a copy and have been reading it. I think that Jon Mecham, Newsweek's Editor, is to be congratulated for wanting to do something bold as the landscape of the media is changing.
I have been reading the insightful l columns. I have found them to be educational and informative. One interesting one I enjoyed was Daniel Gross' column on PF Chang. As a fan of PF Chang, I think the lessons laid out should be truly adopted by all businesses as they navigate through the worst economic winter we have faced. I also had a chance to participate in a forum where Daniel Gross spoke. I think his views are onpointe on both the micro and macro economic level. The need to expand views is ever more crucial.
As I looked at I view this move as being the Economist with a twist. It is still gratifying to see that there are those who have the courage to be bold n the face of the immense change they go through. I wish the new "Newsweek" the very best on its' quest. If the upcoming articles on Iran are any indication, it will be quite interesting and provocative indeed.
