The Struggle Over Turning The Economy Around...
As I have been thinking about our Economy, I continue to be concerned about the recovery. I have been especially worried about the pending bankrupcy by GM. Reports I have seen note that the U.S. Federal Government is to extend another 30 Billion Dollars to help steer it through bankrupcy.
I have also been peroidically monitoring WARN act filings. The filings continue nonstop. I continue to be concerned about the impact of the stimulus spending on the overall economy. To that end, I decided to get engaged with ProPublica's effort to help monitor stimulus projects. I will be providing commentary on a project in Laguna Beach, California.
The Obama Adminstration has promised full transparency. This effort is to be commended. But, it simply is not enough. Everyone has to be engaged and do their part.
