GM is about the driven off the cliff!!! The United Auto Workers has stepped up to help with costs. They are due to receive a 17.5% interest in the company and will have responsiblity to manage healthcare. Opel in Germany has been apparently sold to Magna, the Canadian Parts Maker. But, the struggle to assess whether Opel survives is going to be long and drawn out.
The survival of the Auto Industry continues to be a big question mark right now. Thousands of jobs are at stake.
