The Plight of The Al Jazeera Producers
Afghans have detained two Al Jazeera News Producers because they claim that the reports were "unbalanced". The need to protect freedom of speech is ever more crucial. I am right now listening to the report from Al Jazeera in Afghanistan and it again shows the total lack of transparency and the total lack of regard for freedom of the Press and speech. There is no press freedom and there is no Democracy. The Al Jazeera Correspodent is asking some serious questions. I hope that Al Jazeera continues asking the tough questions. Someone should hold Karzai accountable. No one else seems to.
