The Frustruation With Fox

Fox is on a roll. It thinks it is the best news organization around. It believes that it is fair and balanced and has no opinion at all. As I listened to it, my reaction to was: yaah right!!!

Fox, right now, has a number of leading Republican Luminaries on its' payroll. There is Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich. There is Glenn Beck peddling his 912 project and his "quest" to redeem the legacy of Dr. King. It was in this context that I tried to understand what Britt Humme talked about when he noted that they are a "news organization".

Humme was on O'Reilly's Factor going after the New York Times and the Washington Post. The arrogance and total lack of regard was just beyond belief. The world knows that Humme is a "conservative"--and that's fine. But, Fox has a way to twist the truth to suit its' Corporate Supremo: Rupert Murdoch. I was especially taken aback by how Humme noted how the New York Times was irrelevant/etc. A recent edition of the New York Times featured the plight of Gazans. The reporters talked about one family who had six kids, a husband who had no job and kids who had no where to go. The husband slept all day because he was on seditives and took out his stress on the wife. It featured kids who went out on the street peddle gum and other stuff to help their kids. The question is whether Fox ever featured such stories.

I thought about this story as I listened to Britt Hume on Fox News on Monday. I am not aware of reports from Gaza by Fox. That might change, though. Prince Alaweed is partnering with Fox to launch a channel to counter AL Arabya and Al Jazeera. Supposedly, the editor, Khashoogi, will have full editorial control. The proof will be in the execution, though. What is clear is that Fox has not featured the plight of the Gazans. It has been the mouthpiece of the neo-con movement and was one of the prime movers behind the Iraq fiasco. I also have to wonder whether Prince Alaweed will bring Rupert Murdoch into the 21st Century.

Clearly, you don't know much about Fox News Channel. They did show a picture of Gaza, just last night. It was of a shopping mall that has newly opened. Very nice shopping mall, in fact. Both Israeli's and Palestinians use it. Of course, the other "media" only focuses on the negative and ignores anything positive concerning Israel.

Maybe you should try watching FNC instead of blindly criticizing it. Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity would be a good start. Or if you prefer, try Fox and Friends in the morning, they have all kinds of news. And all Fox programs present BOTH sides of the issues, not just pc spin to make their chosen friends look good.

By the way it's spelled HUME only one M.

I have a newsflash for you: Fox is not News!!!! They have a right to peddle their point of now..but they are not news, they are not fair and balanced and anything they say is simply a lie. So, don't assume....

As for Gaza specifically, , the issues with Gaza goes beyond a nice shopping mall. This shows that you have no clue whatsoever about the realities on the ground and follow blindly what the so-called mainstream conservative media says. Fox fashions itslef as an outsider--but they are as insider as it gets. So, they need to stop this fiction. There is an 80% unemployment rate in Gaza...all because of the Israeli Blockade--which BTW Egypt was complicit in. Egypt finally saw the light after the botched Israeli Raid on The turkish ship--which cost Israel the only true Muslim friend in the Middle East.

Don't be like sheep...be sceptical....and not buy into the fiction that Beck and Hannity and the rest of the gang at Fox peddle. Beck made $ 32 Million Dollars peddling his fiction....I am sure you're a fan...and you have every right to be...I enjoy him too..he is quite the entertainer..but the problem is that people like you believe him and not the true reality. Get out of this cocoon you are in...get a sense for the real world....not the World according to Fox Noise....
