Steven Hutchison: American Hero
Major Steven Hutchison died a few days ago. As I read his story on CNN, I was moved by his sense of duty and patriotism this man had. Over 4,000 such brave souls have given their life in defense of America.
Major Hutchison served in Vietnam and then settled to a quiet life as a College Professor. He was moved enough after 9/11 to go back to serve. His late wife, according to the CNN story, vetoed the idea. He was the oldest soldier to have given his life in service to America. Every American who has taken the call to arms deserves our thanks and those who have fallen should never be forgotten.
