The Continued Tragedy in Pakistan

What happens in Pakistan matters. I wrote about it over the week-end when The Pakistan Army's Headquarters was attacked by militants. The fact that militants in Punjab and the Taliban actually collaborated is really troubling to me. Those same militants attacked a military convoy in the SWAT valley that the Pakistan military had declared it to be free of terrorism. It is clear to me that the Taliban will not lay low. If this was safe, how come the Pakistan Airforce had to bomb safe havens?

Pakistan is a Volcano ready to explode. When there is no job and no hope, there is no choice but to pick up arms. The question is whether the Pakistan Government has the guts to turn things around. I don't think that they do. What is even more tragic is that the alternative is even worst.
