SP Week-End Notes: Reflections On the US Sunday Talk Shows
I am about a day and a half late in my reporting/write-up on the US Sunday Talk Shows. I almost did not get to writing this due to the profound sense of digust I had when I saw the total lack of regard at hand.
The focus was on healthcare. All the major shows had political players on healthcare on both sides of the Ailsle. This was as the US Senate had just passed a resolution to begin debate on the bill that the Majority Leader, Harry Reid, had announced. As I made the Virtual rounds of the debate, it reaffirmed my view of how polarized the political system is and how truly disconnected the National Political Leadership is from what is going on. I wonder if they really know and appreciate the true nature of the challenge before us.
