SP Week-End (6/6/2010): Will Burma get away w/it, again?
Al Jazeera recently featured a documentary on Burma's Weapons of Massive Destruction. The program featured Burmese military officers outlining a massive cladestine program of tunnels and hideaways for the thugs who run the country.
The so called WMD program that Burma has been working on is something that is not discussed openly. It appears that it is known to the World, because the report documented U.S. efforts to prevent North Korean Shipments to get to Burma. This is going on as Burma continues to suffer hardship that is beyond words. As the thugs continue to build up their fiefdom, expand their new capital and enshrine their role in their new "order", the world apparently continues to stay silent.
There is an election coming up. I have to question why the thugs are even bothering with an election. They seem to be getting on quite nicely, thanks to China, Thailand and the rest of the Southeast Asian Nations who are making money in a major way as the people of Burma continue to suffer.
