SP Newsflash (3/4/2011); China & the National People's Congress
The National People's Congress has begun its' annual sitting. There are quite a number of new decisions being made and annouced. The one that particuarly is of interest is the continued increase in China's Defense Budget.
The rise of China is causing worry amongst all key players. In addition to the Stealth Fighter, I have reviewed reports of a new Missile that is slated to destroy Aircraft Carriers. China, also, continues to deal with trying to tame the growth of the Economy so as not to have it cause it to crash. The Chinese Prime Minister has slated a goal of a 7% annual growth--which is something that I am sure the policymakers in Washington would die to have.
