SP Newsflash (3/30/2010): The disappearance of Sheikh Ahmed

I have been reviewing reports about the disappearance of Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the younger brother of the ruler of Abu Dhabi. He runs Abu Dhabi's Sovereign Investment Fund and is reputed to be the world's 27th richest man. He was in Morocco when it happened.

What I found funny is the circumstances under which he went disappearing. He was in a glider being flown on the grounds of a Royal Palace in Morocco. The glider crashed into a man-made lake. I was sickened about this especially in light of a story I saw on France24. The story was about miners from Jerada. These guys are freelance coal miners who dig into the ground to try and make a living. They have to dig for coal in order to eat. The story can be seen at:

Really Long Link
