Sean Hannity vs. President Obama
Sean Hannity criticized the President on his Fox show Thursday night for going to Denmark to pitch America's case for the Olympics while not being concerned about National Security. I personally respect Sean Hannity because he says he believes and he is not shy about it. I also think that the work he has done with the Freedom Concerts is fantastic. I think his "Ten Points" are way of the mark and I fundementally disagree with his vision of America and his criticism is simply misplaced. If I had a chance to talk to him, I would invite him to read this piece I wrote on Afghanistan on my personal portal, Ordinary Faces, that directly questioned the wisdom of the current track in Afghanistan back in 2008:

Throughout my writings here, I have shared my frustruation about Karzai and what is going on in Afghanistan. My misgivings were reinforced by Tariq Ali's comments on Afghanistan. Here is the link: Really Long Link (retrieved June 9, 2008). The eloquence of Tariq Ali is disheartening in many respects. I wonder where the truth will truly come out......
The realities on the ground now seem to vindicate this that I wrote about over a year ago. I have also been quite concerned about Afghanistan for well over a year and I have periodically commented on it especially in SP's sister site, Outsider Views. It appears that the White House is listening. What will they do next, though?
