Malia and Sasha Stole The Hearts of Americans at the Democratic National Convention
I don’t know about you folks but I am so in love with Malia and Sasha Obama. These little girls appear to be confident, smart and unspoiled. There is a pleasantness and lively innocence in their speech and in their eyes. It was an excellent close to an amazing speech by Michelle Obama. Democrats and Republicans alike had to give her credit for her excellent delivery and content last night. As the camera’s moved through the crowd, you could see how they were moved. I could tell they felt what I was feeling. They understood that American politics as we have known it has changed forever. From her mother’s aging fragile voice narrating her video, to her brother discussing her memorization of The Brady Bunch episodes, Michelle showed a softer human side to her existence. As she acknowledged Hillary Clinton breaking 18 million glass ceilings, the crowd roared with approval. Then the cherry on top of the sundae, beautiful eloquent Malia and Sasha. You could see the excitement on their faces as they looked up at the big screen to see their father. It’s obvious that these children are well grounded and whole. They are truly a testament to the Obama’s parenting. I personally believe a President has to be able to manage their own house before they can manage the White House and it looks from here as if the Obama’s are doing a great job raising two amazing young girls.
