Niall Ferguson is a Professor at Harvard University. I have become a fan when he recently began talking about America being the "68th Empire" in the world. He also noted how America's role could be such that it is able to be a force for good. America has a chance to be the force for good despite its' current challenges. Whether this will be in fact the case remains to be seen.
