McCain Thinks Rape is Funny
Oh no, those bloggers found my rape joke
A blog recently brought to light that Senator John McCain thinks rape is funny. In a 1986 news article John McCain was quoted as stating the following:
HAHA..very funny. NOT! This man is running for President of the United States. He did not attend the senate meeting to vote on the Lilly Ledbetter Act, which supports equal pay for women. He left his handicap first wife for a young wealthy, hot (at the time) Cindy McCain. He voted against requiring insurance companies to cover birth control pills. This man is obviously a male chauvinist pig.
I don’t understand how any clear thinking person could support John McCain. I understand that this was over 20 years ago but that means he was 50! He was definitely old enough to know better than to make such a tasteless joke. I am looking for a President who truly believes that all people are created equal. John McCain clearly does not believe that. Rape is a horrifying, spirit scarring, and life changing experience for women. It is not something that should be the brunt of a joke of a representative of our nation.
