McCain Was A Prisoner of War: So What!!!
Senator John McCain was a Prisoner of War. Does that mean we just need to hand over the keys to the White House? I was mugged yesterday, maybe I should run for Mayor. If I hear another person say how courageous he was for doing the job he was being paid to do I am going to scream so loud I will probably burst McCain’s hearing aid. Make no mistake. I admire the men and women who put their lives on the line for this country and our freedoms. That does not mean G.I Joe or Jane should be the leader of the free world. I know that John McCain has other credentials. I just keep scratching my head trying to figure out how being shot down and a prisoner of war makes you an expert in foreign policy. In addition, I know I may get some ridiculous comments for saying this but I can think of more reasons, particularly psychological why a prisoner of war should not be President. Furthermore, it seems as if every time John McCain wants to say anything regarding the current war in Iraq he responds by saying Barack Obama decided not to serve his country. That is the most ridiculous response. McCain needs to do better than that. John McCain retired as a Captain. This means there is five other ranks higher than him. If he was such a great soldier, why didn’t he make admiral? In my opinion John McCain deserves a thank you for serving his country. He does not deserve a free pass to be President of the United States.
