Is there life beyond Earth? Should we care?

In the midst of all the excitement and "drama" about healthcare and the war we seem to continue to be fascinated with, our scientists continue to find and explore. I have just reviewed the reports on a Earth-Like Planet being found right outside the solar system. This is an artists rendition of it. In the midst of it all, we seem to forget how vunerable we are and how small we are and how our "spaceship earth" continues to be threatened every day. Armageddon is a real possiblity. No one wants to talk about it. What some ACORN person does seems to be a lot more sexy than the "real thing".

The need to be able to have a plan B for the human race is ever more. Wanting to somehow have providence dictate our future is not going to work. Our future is in our own very hands.

Let's say there's life SOMEWHERE. What kind of life do we care about? Is it simple cell life or just intelligent life piloting UFO's?

Both. Of course there's life SOMEWHERE, but this story suggested it had been found, and close by, no less. I assume that it's just BS though as the writer hasn't bothered to respond to our comments.

Folks,

You're welcome to visit the NASA site for further details, plus the site at Cornell University. In addition, please also note that there is a discovery of water on the moon that just was announced today with the work the indians and the americans have done.

More to come...Thanks for everyone's visits and interest.
