Is there Doubt about Global Warming/Climate Change?
Global Warming/Climate Change has had its share of sceptics. This has been fueled, in large part, by those with a vested interest in preserving the status quo. I was especially taken aback when I saw Oil hit 81 Dollars/Barrel. An average gallon of unleaded in Southern Orange County California is around $ 3.12.
I have been periodically writing about Global Warming/Climate Change in SP's sister site, Outsider Views. In OV's Earth Watch, I have been writing about things that all of us can do. Some have said that we can't overcome natural progression and change. My view has been that if there are things within our power, we can truly change it. There is no excuse for the trash that travels the Pacific Ocean. There is no excuse for the continued addiction to oil. We have the power within our grasp now. I have to wonder why we don't show the fortitude to overcome it.
There are those who question this. There are also those who believe that the Earth is flat. For those who continue to question this, they should read the story in Al Jazeera which I have just released for reference. According to the report, an uninhabited territory south of the Hariabhanga river was known as New Moore Island to the Indians and South Talpatti Island to the Bangladeshis, disappeared as a result of rising sea levels. Although Mother Nature solved this conflict, this is a sign of things to come. I have written about the fact that 30 Million Bangaldeshis will be displaced as a result of rising sea levels. What would these sceptics say I have to wonder what the Global Warming/Climate Change sceptics will say to those unfortunate souls: Drop Dead?
