Top 10 Reasons to Impeach George W. Bush
My signature will be first to wet the ink of this petition. Impeach Bush, and lets not forget to impeach Dick Cheney while we are at it. Clearly, we went to war in Iraq because George Bush and Dick Cheney had a gut feeling its what they wanted to do. There were no WMDs, there were no immediate terrorist threats, and there were no legitimate reason other than an instinctive feeling George Bush had about Saddam Hussein. We can deny the bush administrations own puppet, Scott McClellan in the book, “What Happened.” That is an excellent questions. Many of us who have common sense have been asking it for 7 years
The short story: The President of the United States lied about our country having to go to war, and he told the lie so long that there are many right winged false prophets telling it for him
I understand “purists” will contest there isn’t enough time left to impeach George W. Bush, however isn’t this one of those occasions our country needs to find a way to make time? I mean, lets be real here, our country sought to impeach a president was over a BJ in the oval office. Sex ….or War. Any logical person believe that the death of over 4000 troops is a lot worse than that.
We spend more money on this war than we spend on fixing our country streets, education, schools, federal buildings, airport security and everything else combined. Our children’s future, their children, and their children’s children’s futures have all been mortgaged. So I pose this question to you. If not now, when? If not George W. Bush, will there ever be a better reason to impeach someone so crooked that it is impossible to examine his administration and find something that properly executed! If we do not even try to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney, what does that say about us as human beings? Shouldn’t we at least act like he did something wrong?
Here are my top ten reasons for beginning impeachment proceedings against George Bush and Dick Cheney. Immediately:
1.) Bush broke the law, by acting as if he is above the law. Bush took the nation to war against a sovereign nation based on manufactured evidence and lies. The administration was so successful in its campaign of lies and deception few remember why we went to war. We went to war because Bush couldn’t wait to pull the trigger. UN Weapons Inspectors wanted until September. Bush launched ‘Shock and Awe’ in March. Had we waited we would have known that there weren’t any WMD’s but then again, the administration already knew that. It took months and tens of millions of dollars to clean up from the DC and New York anthrax attacks, the result of a few mailed envelops. No trace of anthrax or any other weapons were found in Iraq, and few made the connection.
2.) When faced with overwhelming evidence that the foundation for the war was crumbling around them, the Bush White House covered up the lie and engaged in a vicious campaign to undermine anyone who questioned their authority. (Remember the Dixie Chicks?) To sell the war the administration manufactured heroes and destroyed real ones. Remember Jessica Lynch the little girl form West Virginia that kept shooting as the enemy kept advancing. The biggest problem with her story was that the heroic actions attributed to her never happened.
3.) Pat Tillman, the NFL star who marched off to war to defend the country against terrorism only to be shot by friendly fire. Accidents happen in the fog of war, but remember which administration it was that covered up the incident and used it to the advantage of ‘the permanent campaign,’ as Scott McClellan wrote about.
4.) The orchestrated and sinister campaign to out Valeria Plame, a CIA Operative, even though the administration publicly said the penalty for such outings was firing. The bottom line is the administration lied again. This time it ruined a persons career, jeopardized her life, and then pardoned the man who did the deed. Remember Scooter Libby? Crime pays in the Bush administration. He did the crime and served no time.
5.) Mission accomplished. Five years later, four thousand U.S. troops are dead and no one can explain why American blood was spilled in Iraq. Those troops returned home to shoddy medical care and military hospitals with falling ceilings and leaking pipes.
6.) No child left behind. Under this administration, every child has been left behind. Any parent who spends hours with their children on homework assignments that don’t make sense knows the Bush education policy failed.
7.) Abu Gharib. We stooped to torture and unlike the TV version we weren’t even smart enough to hire Jack Bower. No, we did it in plain sight, with digital cameras snapping away.
8.) Divide and conquer. No administration in recent history has spent more time dividing the country than the Bush administration. They have pitted blacks against whites, rich against poor, and religion against religion.
9.) Katrina, Katrina, Katrina. Facing tens of thousands of deaths…Bush went biking. To answer critics he performed a flyover in Air Force One, as if he could suddenly land the plane and lend assistance to the people starving in the New Orleans Superdome. Bush then sent an unqualified lackey and blamed him for emails where he asked which shirt to wear. Blacks and whites perished as the world watched and no one has been held accountable. It is perhaps the greatest crime of the 21st century (hard to compete with Iraq though) and no one has been held accountable. To compound matters, the homeless were bussed from city
to city and housed in formaldehyde laced trailers where they continue to suffer today.
10.) Condoleezza Rice! Donald Rumsfeld! Dick Cheney! Scooter Libby! Could a single administration produce so many people so polarizing at a time when the world, and indeed this country needed the U.S. to act as if it deserved the title, the only ‘Superpower?’ Cheney shot his best friend for crying out loud
11.) Only an oilman could produce the rape of a country by the oil industry. It would be different if George Bush came into office as a wheat farmer. Can you imagine paying $10 dollars for a loaf of bread? That is how bad things would have to be to compare to the constant pillaging of American pockets by the oil industry.
12.) Hanging chads. He stole the election and with it, the most precious of America’s freedoms -- democracy. The fix was in and the world watched it all unfold. Al Gore may have won the Nobel Prize, but the Bush administration pulled off the great train robbery. When George Bush took the oath of office gas was just over a dollar a gallon, oil sold for ten dollars a barrel and the economy was roaring along. People actually had jobs, houses, cars and happiness. Seven years later we are losing our homes, can’t put gas in the cars we brought, shipping jobs overseas, an embarrassment to the world.
I can count folks, I know that’s twelve but just couldn't help myself.

that psychopath Rumsfeld and his mate Wolferwitz or whatever his name is deserve to be gaoled along with Cheney and his puppet Bush frankly.
Also, the lies perpetrated about the 911 attacks... this was the greatest atrocity committed in America's history to my mind, as anybody who studies the facts of that day (and checks what specialists in various pertinent fields say about it all) cannot possibly agree with the ludicrous explanations made by the government. It lied, it lied, it lied! No passenger plane hit the Pentagon, no bodies were seen by the coroner at the Pennsylvannia 'crash' site, and the buildings in New York, I've seen the CBS footage slowed down, you can see the demolition charges setting off, floor by floor!!
we live in extremely dangerous times I am sorry to say.
good on you for stance!

2. No child left behind does work look at the states its used in its working.
3.We would not be in this situation if Clinton had done his job when he was in office. Time and time again the UN asked him to go in an do something.
4. Clinton was impeached for lying while under oath. That is illeagal
5.Finally he did not steal the election. After all was said and done the major liberal papers of Florida went back and counted and President Bush won by more than orginaly reported. Also in Florida if you can't figure out how to vote and punch a chad than well your stupid. For the two weeks leading up to the election there are sample ballots sent to each individual voter, I know I got one. Every major newspaper prints it in the paper several times before the election.
I understand you hate Bush but I hate Clinton and things he did were even worse. Like giving nuclear technology to Norh Korea.
Quit drinking the liberal Kool Aid and do your own research. I did
To Wit;
The Supreme Court decided to rule in favour of Bush, even though there was ample evidence that there were many irregularities with the votes, which should have caused an annulment and a new election process.
However, the judges decided, in their infinite wisdom, that America had waited long enough for a government, (three months it went on to memory), and so made their unilateral decision to hand the Presidency to Bush.
It is interesting to note that Bush snr appointed many of the judges too.
The hanging chad saga only allowed the encumbent Bush to further his own cause to retain power.
Florida, so crucial for his win, and run by Bush's brother, passed a law, two years before the election (to keep it on the low level no doubt) that anyone who had been arrested, no matter if then released without charge, or proved innocent, was not allowed to vote!
This meant a huge dent in the Afro-American vote, which predominately voted Democrat, and was 'COINCIDENTALLY' statistically, by far, the largest group arrested.
Face it Tammy, Bush and his cronies rigged it!
Dead and/or missing servicemen sending in postal votes for Bush...etc etc etc...give me a break!
fog
Cheryl J and Mountain Fog you two are spot in. This guy is has single handedly ruined a super power. The said part about it is he could care less
no child left behind doesn't work...it pushes children through the system because the fund aren't there to really address the issues. parents that really want help for their special needs children have to fight for it, by then their kid is labeled as "bad" in the system. I've beenfortunate with my children, but I have watched at least 3 boys get tossed about the system while a single mother fought every day to make sure her child got an education.
Lying under oath or laying period..the fact that Clinton lied under oath is a technicality. A lie is a lie...doesn't matter if you're under oath or not...and besides...Bush is under oath...the oath of office...he is obligated to be truthful.
