Bibi Is Mad.....
Mr. Obama and Mr. Medvedev signed off on the Start II agreement. I welcome it becuase it will provide a foundation for peace and security around the World. I also welcome the change in U.S. nuclear policy. But, there are many challenges that continue to be before us.
Iran continues to be a problem. The world understands that and is moving towards sanctions. What the World also needs to understand that Iran continues to make strides despite the sanctions. Look at what they have done in Aerospace, in shipping, high technology, missile development and other areas. This is occuring in spite of the continued repression within the country continously. This is the tragedy of Iran. But, Israel continues to be a problem as well.
Israel has had nuclear weapons for over 30 years. The deterence is understandtable in light of the tough neighborhood Israel is in. What Israel has never understood, though, is that part of the problem is what they have done with the way they have conducted themselves. They had a direct hand in creating Hizblollah, in Hamas and the continued radicalization of Palestinians.
As the Israelis refuse to listen to reason, Bibi got upset after thumbing his noise at the Obama Adminstration. He apparently cancelled his trip to Washington to participate in the upcoming U.S.-Sponsored Nuclear Security summit. Israel's status as a nuclear power was going to be raised. It is high time that the accountability will be so.
