As The 4th Year of "Outsiders" is Upon Us....
I have been continuing to assess where things are. I can't help but be extremely appreciative of the work being done here and in SP's sister sites, outsiderviews & kitten politics. The need to speak out and be aware is ever more important as traditional media companies continues to gain ever more power. I was especially interested in a recent comment by James Murdoch of News Corp when he talked about how News Corp and Time Warner may be marginalized becasue they were increasingly becoming irrelevant and had to only get "bigger". I wondered how much bigger can they get. The Media Watch Series will have a chance to assess this as the 4th year begins here in Outsiders.
What is critical, though, in any endeavor is to make sure a sense of righteousness is maintained and sustained. It all starts with Character. John Wooden reminded all of us of it not so long ago:
We have to be aware, speak up when it is right and do it while maintaining a sense of mutual respect. The responsiblity is profound.
