As Blog Action Day Arrives........
I have been thinking about our world and our Earth. There has been a lot of noise about the need for each and every one of us to think about our Earth and live up to our personal responsbility. Although there is a lot of meetings and everyone is getting ready for Copenhgen, what I get worried about is when I see the race to continue drilling for Oil. Ghana and Guinea are apparently the new front in this quest to find oil. China is moving in fast and furious, despite the public pronoucements of the Chinese Premier to lower the carbon footprint for the Country. As I gear up to write about this on Blog Action Day in SP's sister site, outsiderviews, I wonder why there is such a rush. I wonder why there should not be a concerted effort to stop this addiction to carbon. Where is the courage to turn things around?
