A Bit of a Reality Check.....
America is fighting two wars that the American Public knows about. America is also fighting wars that Americans do not know about. As America fights the wars and the economy stagnates, the talk of America now is about a Mosque in New York. I wrote about it in SP's sister site, Outsider Views. What I find troubling is how America seems not to appreciate the World and does not learn from its' past.
I have been listening to this admontion by Dr. King over 40 years ago. All must take this admoition to heart and truly understand what is truly going on today. what is right and to go beyond this exploitation that seems to widen the gap between the rich and the poor. There needs to be sense of true compassion as Pakistanis suffer, Afghans die and Iraqis lose any semblance of hope. Will those "smooth patriots" have the courage to realize this?
